Descripción: On behalf of Thomas Cook, Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Malaga team on a full-time basis. Opportunity to join the AWS Centre of Excellence for a leading Europe travel company. Our mission is to build and run a leading edge AWS implementation delivering real business value. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be involved in designing and building AWS services that support millions of customers, billions of pounds in revenue and thousands of requests per second.
This role gives an opportunity to implement, support and maintain a Group AWS solution. You will be part of team which is drawn from the breadth of the Thomas Cook group. You will be an ambassador for AWS and the CoE working closely with users of the solution. Alongside actually delivery and support we are looking for the team to get ahead of the AWS technology curve and understand new offerings to assist adoption.
Responsibilities:
Design solutions in AWS;
Analyze and improve upon existing systems, services and infrastructure;
Operate the platform within security and privacy guidelines;
Deliver commitments and timely escalate blockers;
To be a gospeller of AWS tools and techniques;
Integrate closely with Development teams, participate in Scrum processes.
Requirements:
Significant experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting AWS production systems for large corporate organisations – examples might be – CloudFormation, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, S3, Lambda, Route 53, etc…;
Experience of automatically provisioning, configuring and deploying environments;
Experience of experience with configuration management tools;
Experience in Docker or similar Terraform;
Experience in designing and building Continuous Delivery;
Experience and belief in Agile principles such as Lean, Kanban, Scrum, TDD/BDD;
Time management, communication skills.
