The Hardware Team Leader will assume the folowing responsibilities:
• Assist with pre-design research activities (development projects) and coordinate activities related to medical devices hardware.
• Assist with design and development activities (design projects) and coordinate activities related to designing, building and testing of medical devices hardware (including conceptualization, mechanism design, component selection criteria, control system development, etc).
• Generate ideas and solutions for new products or sub-systems.
• Coordinate and assist in the preparation and review of design and development documentation (including design inputs, design specifications, test protocols and reports, etc) within the design project.
• Participate in risk management activities.
• Propose and coordinate required testing within the design project (hardware, assemblies, etc).
• Participate in follow-up periodic meetings and coordinate actions related with team.
• Interface with suppliers.
• Determination of requirements and preparation of purchase specifications.
• Preparation of purchase orders regarding design and development activities.
• Incoming verification activities regarding design and development activities.
• Support to supplier evaluation, selection, monitoring and re-evaluation, as appropriate.
• Comply Quality Management System requirements.
• Collaborate in the preparation and maintenance of Design History Files.

The Hardware Team Leader must meet the following requirements:
• Electronics engineering degree or similar technical degree.
• Graduate studies in robotics is preferred (not required).
• +3 years of experience in project management.
• 5 years of electronic product design experience, including electromedical device development.
• Experience in analog and digital electronics analysis and design.
• Experience with computer and microprocessor communication protocols such as Ethernet, EtherCat, CAN bus, I2C, SPI, and USB.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design (preferably using Altium Designer).
• Experience with electronic tests equipment.
• Experience in Solidworks or similar CAD/CAM programs.
• Experience in supply chain interactions and industrialization of electromedical devices.
• English reading skills.
Soft skills required:
• Organizational skills.
• Understanding of design for reliability and manufacturability.
• Knowledge of risk management activities related to medical devices is preferred (but not required).
• Good communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Proactive.
