Descripción: The ideal candidate will:
Write software layers, scripts, deployment frameworks, tracers, monitors, self-healing/auto remediation tools to automate the processes.
Build and maintain software modules for use and reuse in cloud systems automation.
Automate repeatable system administration tasks to reduce deployment times and improve system reliability.
Develop and deploy internal tools for system administration automation and self-service products both on Linux and Windows systems.
Oversee our Private Cloud Infrastructure systems – installing, monitoring and fine-tuning them and sorting out any system or network issue.
Responsible for all Linux Servers by performing duties involving: Backup and Recovery, Performance, Organization, Upgrades, and Security.
Provide top tier technical assistance to support staff.
Occasionally administer Windows servers and do operational tasks on them.
Participate in shared on-call rotation
REQUIREMENTS
Experience with Unix/Linux systems (Redhat/CentOS Linux) in a large-scale operations, distributed Linux production set-up
Excellent programming skills. Knowledge of code, coding concepts, and advanced knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Ruby, PHP) and automation skills.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, and how to achieve it using Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes (Bonus: AWX).
Significant understanding and working experience with OpenStack.
Clued-up on enterprise level virtualisation (VMware, KVM).
Knowledge in software development methodologies, and appropriate tool-sets.
Understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment concepts and tools, including: SCMs (Git, Subversion), CI servers (Bamboo, Jenkins), build tools (Maven, Gradle), binary repositories (Nexus, Artifactory).
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems and basic network problems.
Basic knowledge of Windows systems administration and investigation, especially of event log and services.
Familiarity with Powershell development.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Great communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
